The Asian Energy Investment Council is working with ministries and governments all over the region to ensure education and funding for the energy sector.Asian countries have made considerable progress in restructuring their electricity and gas markets. The regional governments and funding bodies have put in place their directives and basic legislative frame work, which each country need to meet to ensure continued energy demand. The key challenge lies in the fact that the power sector in most Asian countries is in massive restructuring and in need of huge investment if they are to meet demand. It’s for this reason, the Asian Energy Investment Council have announced over $38 Billion USD of funding to address the deficiencies each country currently have.The main elements of funding release starts in February 2011 and will continue over a 3 year period.
