Singtel Future Makers is a social innovation program that seeks to support social entrepreneurships in Singapore with the desire to bring about positive change in the lives of the vulnerable in the community through the leverage of innovative technologies. Providing support in terms of funding, regional networking opportunities, capability building, as well as bespoke mentorship services for the formulation of business strategies, Singtel Future Makers is able to support a maximum of seven start-ups in its local program, of which 2 will move on to compete in the regional based Singtel Group Asia Pacific Future Makers. All in all, Singtel Future Makers seeks to empower social entrepreneurs who are passionate about pushing for social transformation in Singapore and beyond. Singtel Future Makers is a 4-month social innovation programme in Singapore comprising up to S$140,000 grants for the start-ups, mentoring by cross-sector experts, competency workshops, networking and strategic partnership opportunities with the Singtel Group and our partners.In 2017, we held our inaugural regional programme in Sydney for six of our Future Makers start-ups from Singtel, Optus and Globe to participate and pitch at the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific as well as receive further regional capacity-building support by our business and community partners in Australia.
